Who Is Willie George
Shortly after receiving Christ at a James Robison crusade in 1972, 17 year-old Willie George took his first steps into a ministry that has now touched the lives of millions. Beginning in a small west Texas town whose population was 1,100, serving as pastor to children and youth, he helped his uncle build a church of 500. Much of that growth resulted from a bus ministry where Pastor George would send buses as far as 75 miles one way to pick up children no one else was reaching.

In 1979, Willie George Ministries was founded and began publishing Faith Roots School of the Bible curriculum. Additionally, the ministry travelled across America, taking his creative techniques for children's ministry to hundreds of churches.
Together with our newest Kids On The Move® video-interactive curriculum, these products are used in more than 25,000 churches in more than 66 countries. Through the various regional and national conferences, over 100,000 ministers have been personally trained.

Willie George Ministries launched its television ministry in 1983 with The Gospel Bill Show. This began a continual stream of quality television programming which would include Fire by Nite--a program for teens, The Ministry Of Excellence network for pastors, The Candy Store program for preschoolers, a western series for families--The Cimarron Trail, and an exciting game show called Kids On The Move®.

Church On The Move/Willie George Ministries also operates a year-round Christian camp and retreat center, Dry Gulch, U.S.A., which is the nation's largest Old West movie town. In addition to being the host site for thousands of kids enjoying summer camp each year, hundreds of couples being blessed through our Marriage Getaways, Dry Gulch, U.S.A. is also home for The Christmas Train. Each season passengers embark on a journey through the Christmas story, as told in the Bible, on a narrow-gauge steam train. Since its inception in 1996, The Christmas Train has attracted more then 250,000 riders, with more than 50,000 of those having made decisions for Christ.

In 1987, the Lord spoke to Willie George to begin Church On The Move in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Because of Pastor George's vision for reaching children and youth, this church places a strong emphasis on ministry to these age groups. The largest church in Oklahoma--over 12,000 people in average weekly attendance-Church On The Move is a dynamic witness that God blesses those who bless young people.

In the fall of 1996, Pastor George founded what has now become the largest local-church youth ministry in the nation, Oneighty®. What began with around 250 students, now numbers over 2,300 teenagers in average weekly attendance and has developed a network of 280 affiliate churches who are doing youth ministry the Oneighty® way. Our summer missions program, call 180World®, has seen over 68,000 people won to Christ since 1997. With affiliate churches in the U.S., Canada, Africa, and Ireland, Oneighty® is not only impacting teenagers from Tulsa, but all over the world.

Citing evangelism, family relationships, church growth, leadership training, and spiritual development as the key thrusts in his ministry, Pastor George believes that ministry to the whole family is vital to the great final ingathering of souls. He is a dynamic speaker, author, pastor, and teacher. His entrepreneurial approach to ministry continues not only to provide leadership to Church On The Move, but to countless pastors and churches around the world.
